The City Together
Düsseldorf

How do we continue to develop our cities in the face of rapidly changing financial conditions in the real estate market? How do we create sufficient affordable housing? How can we successfully transform vacant offices into residential spaces – and according to which standards? How can Germany, with its strong ‘Old Economy,’ establish a new export market for climate neutrality? The launch event at the Showroom Le Coeur promises perspectives from politics, development, architecture, and startups.

The location is symbolic. The former Commerzbank building on Königsallee is being redeveloped, with a large part of the old building being preserved.

The City Together is a Germany-wide event series organized by Hines in cooperation with plan A. The series is fostering meaningful dialogue among key stakeholders shaping our cities. As a major international real estate developer and investor in Germany, Hines recognizes its responsibility in engaging with the urban community.

In light of the fundamental transformation underway in the construction industry, the inaugural series is dedicated to “Agents of Change“ – the visionary creators who are actively making the building transition a tangible reality – reimagining our cities and society.
