MATTHIAS WYSSUWA is Political Correspondent for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in Berlin. He reports from close range on political developments, particularly where domestic and foreign policy intersect — both in Berlin and while travelling with members of the German federal government, including the Foreign Minister. In 2019, he was awarded the German Bundestag’s Medienpreis Parlament.
An evening exploring Germany’s role in a world in transition — discussing the international order and national interests, economic strength as a prerequisite for political influence, and the question of how much shaping power Germany still possesses today.
