Thomas Tuma is a distinguished expert on the German economy. He currently shares his insights on current affairs as lead writer and member of the editorial board of Focus magazine. He was previously deputy editor-in-chief of Handelsblatt newspaper, and for many years was head of the business and media department of the news magazine Der Spiegel.

The recipient of several awards – including the Helmut Schmidt Journalism Award and the Herbert Quandt Media Prize – he has met with numerous heavyweights from the worlds of business and politics, from Wolfgang Schäuble to Sahra Wagenknecht.

In the week following the German federal election, we take a pointed look at the climate policies and goals of the different parties, as well as the impact on various sectors of the economy.
